The Modern Day Working Environment is Unnatural and Unhealthy.

Humans as we know them today have existed for about 200,000 years, and human ancestors for something like 6 million years.

The Industrial Revolution happened in the 1800s which is less than 200 years ago. Since the industrial revolution human lives have changed drastically. It has become standard for Humans to get up every morning and leaf home to go to work in exchange for money. The work task are of a monotonous nature where the same things are done day after day year after year.

Humans have Physically and Mentally Evolved for the Modern Working Environment.

Natural Selection and evolution takes a long time over many generation to take effect. The time that has passed since the industrial evolution is nowhere near enough to have had a significant evolutionary impact to enable us to cope with the demands of the workplace.

Given enough time if we continue going down this terrible path we have chosen humans could potentially evolve to thrive in such an environment But the path is a terrible and ugly one.

For instance Over many generations to come, those who are mentally least capable of coping will fall victim to Depression and anxiety related to work. Those people will continue to commit suicide and not pass on their genes to future generations. Any other inability to cope poorly both mentally and physically will lead to a reduced likelihood of successful reproduction.

The Modern Workplace is a Human Invention.

Having a job is not normal, natural or healthy. No species has ever had Jobs and gone to work for a living. It is a modern Human invention that really has no place in our life’s.

People get up in the morning earlier than they want to. they leave their home they give away their children to strangers in daycare and work for a company doing a monotonous task all day long in exchange for money. Then they return in the evening mentally and physically exhausted they collect their children and put them to bed. Then they watch some TV eat something and go to bed themselves only to repeat the same madness again the following day.

The Natural way for People to Live is Independently Within Tribes.

Our modern culture has people thinking that this is normal when really it couldn’t be any further from the truth. That which is normal for the human species is very different and always has been up until the Industrial revolution.

Humans are a tribal animal that have always lived in tribes of about 150 to 200 people. They get up when they feel like getting up and they do not leave home in the morning and return home in the evening. Their activities are not monotonous as they build and create everything themselves. Food, clothes, shelter and tools are created as needed. Families and tribe members do tasks together or by themselves within the tribe where their home is. Children learn by watching and trying things for themselves. They spend their childhood with their parents and participate and play with other children within that tribe in close proximity.

There is really only the word “Every” that makes this quote wrong. It is wrong because not every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. In fact many accomplishments happen by accident, by luck or just pure chance.

It is this fundamentalism, a typical hallmark of the motivational movement that makes this quote so irritating. “Every Accomplishment Starts With the Decision to Try”. The word Every makes this quote an absolute without exception, without question, and that is wrong. It is small minded and irritating to the rational brain

The quote fancies itself to be wise. When in reality it is constrictive and narrow and limiting. Condensing everything down to fit inside its own limited template.

Today I will go trough the various statements on this meme. Some of the statements are true while aoters are not.

Vaccines Work.

Vaccines do work but they are for the most part unnecessary. The immune system is like a muscle and should be challenged in order to stay strong. Viruses that don’t kill you will make you stronger. Since evolution is true vaccines should be reserved as a last resort. A society that relies on vaccines over generations will evolve to be so weak that they can no longer survive without it, and that is a bad thing.

Vaccines themselves are not without risk and do contain substances that are not healthy for the human Body.

Climate Change is Anthropogenic.

Climate change is real and will be the death of us if we don’t act now. Climate does cycle by nature But the human contribution to global warming far succeeds that which happen by nature alone. In order to keep nature in equilibrium any carbon mass that is mined and released in to the atmosphere has to be collected and buried or contained. Any carbon mas that is derived from plants needs to return to plants.

Evolution is True

Yes evolution in inarguably True. It is irrelevant if God exists or not. Evolution is true either way. If God does not exist then evolution is the explanation of life. If God does exist then god is within evolution and evolution would still explain physical life on in our universe.

GMOs Are Safe.

Actually GMOs are a unknown. Since those that claim GMOs to be safe are in fact not clairvoyants there is no way for them or anyone else to predict with certainty that GMOs are safe. Some GMOs might turn out to be safe but the odds are fairly small. History has shown before that supposedly great human ideas turn out to be a catastrophe. The variables in nature are endless and there is no way for scientist to test or even predict them all. A scientifically literate person would know that A Unknown can not be considered save. GMOs are being pushed by industry and not true unbiased Science.

The Earth is Not Flat.

Correct the earth is not Flat. The earth is a Sphere. The motion of the heavenly bodies, gravity and Kepler law al ad up. But I challenge any flat earther to travel to the edge of the earth and take a Video or at least a photo. No photo-shopping allowed.

Humans Went to the Moon.

Yes they did. The moon landing conspiracy documentary did seem fairly convincing. And not much of a counterargument was offered for quiet a while after its release. There is a very good episode by the Mythbasters on the moon-landing that explains That the moon landing did in fact happen and hoe some of these seemingly impossible things do in fact have a logical and simple explanation.

Astrology is Nonsense.

The the season in which one is born can have an effect on them but this has nothing to do with the stars. The astrological signs are not accurate either they fall on entirely different dates and have different durations than is claimed by astrologers, see Constellations and the Calender. Regardless of the inaccurate constellations there has been no concrete evidence to suggest that Astrology is accurate.

Aliens Did Not Build the Pyramids.

Extraterrestrial life probably exists, refer to the drake equation for some probabilities. But I don’t think that aliens built the pyramids. With enough time and workers the pyramids can be constructed using a basic knowledge of physics

Homoeopathy is Water.

I thought homoeopathy was actually Vodka or some other form of alcohol. I have seen no convincing evidence of Homoeopathy so far. However mainstream medicine is a industry which is corrupt. Mainstream medical science is a business and heavily biased towards profit. That makes scientific findings within conventional medicine very prone to be pseudo-science. If Homoeopathy was to work the pharmaceutical industry would do everything in its power to discredit Homoeopathy. If homoeopathy was to work it would work via a message not quantity. That is why you could not overdose on Homoeopathy even if it turns out to be true.

Acupuncture Does not Work.

That one is false. Acupuncture can and does work. Acupuncture is not a absolute one for all solution like some of its advocates like to claim. However acupuncture does have some value and in some instances even a lot of value. Acupuncture be integrated in to medicine and studied further using the scientific method. No doubt. Not something the pharmaceutical industry would be happy about.

Chronic Lime Disease does not Exist.

I don’t know. I currently do not have a opinion on that one as I have never head of it before.

Naturopathy is Pseudo-science.

Not true. Naturopathy has a lot of promise. It is simply that a corrupt medical industry refuses to accept anithing that they can not put a patency on. It is the pseudo-science of industry that should give way and aplie true science to Naturopathy and you will find that there is a lot of great benefits that can be confirmed by science and that even more can be discovered.

Detoxification is an Absurd Concept.

There are plenty of absurd Detox methods and especially detox products that have little or no value. However detox itself is important and highly valuable to your health. Toxins are very real in our modern environment. They are present everywhere from our food, the air we breathe, the water we drink and even the clothes we wear. Evolution is real and all those modern human caused toxins have never been part of our evolutionary adaptation and our bodies are therefore not equipped to deal with them. They are the seeds for Cancer and cancer is on the rise soon to overtake heart failure. There are reasonable and effective detox methods that will be beneficial to ones long term health.

Myrkur is not a Sell-out

Myrkur is Folk Black Metal project by Amalie Bruun which has received a lot of uncalled for criticism by Black Metal Elitists.

Myrkur is one of the most beautiful creations that has come out of Black Metal. It is a ethereal and elven like. Musically there is no reason for anyone to dislike Myrkur or its creator Amalie Bruun. It has all the beauty and hideousness that makes for great genuine black metal.

The Elitists Gender Issues

Some Metal elitists dislike Myrkur for only one reason and that is because Amalie Bruun is female. Those individuals must obviously have some kind of gender grudge and would like to reserve Black Metal as a male only territory.

Music should be judged on its own merit and not on the gender of its creator. Some female fronted Metal bands do have a very generic uninspired sound and have built their success purely on the fact that female vocalists in metal are or where rare, and therefore are a novelty.

That is not the case for Myrkur. Myrkur is appreciated by its fans for the quality of the music alone. Aside from the silly gender issue lets explore the real reason why Myrkur is supposedly a sell-out.

Why Amalie Bruuns Past as a Model and Pop Singer does not Constitute a Sell-Out

Before the rise of Myrkur its creator Amalie Bruun was a model and a pop singer. Well there is clearly nothing black metal about models or pop singers and there is no disputing that. But Modelling and Pop singing is what Amalie Bruun did to earn money. Lets think about this and what other people do to earn money including Black metal musicians, Black Metal elitists, Internet trolls and even you.

Most musicians would have worked for various companies before they could make a living of their music and abandon their shitty jobs. The majority of jobs are for some commercial undertaking which is hugely anti black metal by nature. If Amalie Bruun is a sell-out because she was a Model than what does that make anyone else who has worked at a fast food company like Mc Donald’s for instance. weather you like it or not many of the Black Metal Elitists and trolls on the internet labelling Myrkur a sell-out are themselves holding exactly such jobs.

There are a couple of elements that constitute a Black Metal Band or musician as a sell out. The band or musician commercialises the music in order to appeal to the larger masses while compromising that which makes black Metal genuine. Such bands will then drive the final nail in to the sell out coffin by prostituting themselves by endorsing commercial products, and that is a offence to a black metal purist. Black metal stands for anti commercialism

Amalie Bruun has done the exact opposite. Myrkur was never commercialised instead it was conceived far away from the commercial influences of pop. She initially released Myrkur anonymously to stand on its own merit. Myrkur was never created for commercial appeal, Al of Amalie Bruun’s love and passion went in to Myrkur regardless of who loved it or hated it.

Myrkur is not a sell-out. All the Black metal elitists and Purists should think about how they earn their money before they attack Amalie Bruun for how she earned her money before the birth of Myrkur. Because being a model is no less of a sell out than being a fast food worker for instance the only difference is that medals are more visible to the public eye.

Amalie Bruun also uses a lot of old and ancient instruments that aper to be unbranded or or where made by a Luthier way back which is anything but a endorsement for a company. How Black Metal is that.
